Mr. Shawn Bibb joined CSUEB March 12, 2007. As the VP for Administration and Finance & CFO he has responsibility for the functions of Finance, Accounting, Internal Audit and Audit Compliance, Budget (both Operations and Capital), Business Services, Real Estate Operations, Facilities Management, Human Resources, Legal Affairs, Risk Management, Procurement and Auxiliary Operations. The position also serves as liaison and Secretary/Treasurer of the CSUEB Foundation, Inc., Treasurer of the Cal State East Bay Educational Foundation, Inc., Chair of the Campus Fee Advisory Committee and Campus Physical Planning Committee and a member of the President’s University Planning, Assessment and Budget Committee.
Before joining CSUEB, Shawn worked at San Jose State University for 19 years in various finance administration areas. His last position at SJSU was the Associate Vice President for administrative systems and finance. Before joining the CSU system, Bibb worked in the Office of the Comptroller for Texas A&M University system from 1982 to 1988, his last position there as an audit manager. He has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Texas A&M.
Bibb is a member of the National Association of College and University Business Officers, Chief Administration and Business Officers Group of the CSU, Western Association of College and University Business Officers and Association of Financial Professionals.
Bibb has two children and resides in San Jose.
